“London-Paris in 24hrs” charity cycle

Say hello to “team core cambridge”, a Father/Son duo who are taking part in a 24-hr London-Paris cycle ride in July 2010.

Tim and his son Ali have decided to cycle the ~280 mile journey in order to raise money for the disability support charity “Scope”.

On 23rd July, they will start their ride in Blackheath, London and will cycle through to Dover, where they will board the ferry* to Calais and then recommence their cycling from Calais to finish in Paris 24 hours after they started.

In their session today, we carried out initial assessments of both riders and then took initial body stats (weight, body composition etc) so that we can plan out their training for the next few months to the event.

If you’d like to support Scope’s work (and Tim & Ali’s epic adventure!) then please head over to their charity donation page here

We look forward to supporting them on their voyage!

*do we think they really ought to set a turbo-trainer up on the ferry if they’re going to do the job properly? :D
